Megs Character Essay The book is Wrinkle In Time. Meg is most definitely the protagonist of the story. From the very beginning of the story you see how Meg feels about herself. She believes she is ugly and freakish looking because she wears glasses and has braces and her hair is kind of scraggly . She even called herself a monster at one point to her cat . She is sort of a tomboy , who does not like to do things like everyone else. This makes the teachers think she is a little slow . The truth is Meg is actually very intelligent and does everything in her own way . She is stubborn and gets upset because everyone wants her to do things the standard way . Like Meg we all go through different journeys along the way as we grow. In the story Wrinkle in time is was story of good and bad but you got to see how the main character from thinking she was a monster no one like because her actions. Then how things can change with situations and open your eyes through trials. I think this is why teens can relate to the story because they can relate to Meg and how she was in the story. Teenagers we all go through awkward stages and changes but what is important is we learn and become better people from those experiences. I believe Meg did this.

However, through it all she discovers things about her sister and gets to know her even better. I thought that the main message was very clear. It showed that some people have so much about them and choose to lose themselves in a video game so that they can be themselves and do things they’ve never imagined before. The conflict of the play was needing to go through Tilly’s stuff so that Agnes could completely move on with life and in her with boyfriend. The inciting incident was finding Tilly’s module and wanting to complete it. The climax was when Agnes had made it to the end of the game and had to fight the five headed dragon to get the lost soul, which was Tilly. In the end the conflict was resolved because Agnes was able to find Tilly’s soul and was able to be at peace with her sister being…

Coming of age stories reveal the struggle of life in early age. The stories also demonstrate life lessons and life losses. “Even though you're growing up, you should never stop having fun”. -Nina Dobrev. Unfortunately, I disagree with this quote since there are times when you need to actually grow up and not have fun. There are times when life does have to hit you hard or you have to realize what is happening. These stories are relatable to many and people can learn off them.…

In the movie version of A Wrinkle In Time, when Meg was first on Camazotz, with Calvin, she simply walked up a flight of, invisible, steps and down a colorful hallway to find her father. The book, however, presented us with a small room and a cell of some sort. Inside the cell was Meg’s father who could not see what was going on outside. Meg fights her way into the cell and uses Mrs.Who’s glasses and her father’s tessering skills to escape. The book says specifically on page 71, “They looked into another small room or cell. In the center of it was a large, round, transparent column, and inside the column was a man. “FATHER!” Meg screamed.” When reading the book, this scene was very much different and made us want her to find him, finally. The movie’s way of presenting Meg’s father felt disappointing because, after many years of him being gone, Meg arrives on Camazotz to walk through a hall and find her father sitting there. The book’s way to present this concept is definitely more favorable than the first, making another reason why the book is better than the…

The author let’s us know that Meg is not very smart by having many stronger people look down on her such as her Principal, Mrs. Who, and IT. An example of this is when Meg meets Mrs. Who and is very confused.(A Wrinkle in Time 134) This makes the story an underdog story, which intrigues the reader and enhances the plot. It does this by making IT not care about Meg. But this…

My book I'm reading is called Fish in a Tree. It is written by Lynda Mullaly Hunt. The book is about a girl named Ally who has gone through to fourth grade without knowing how to read or write. She struggles to make friends because she is so different from everyone else. Ally may not read or write very well, but her new teacher Mr. Daniels notices that she does think outside the box more than any other student he has had in the past. After reading this book I learned that if you don't try to fix your own problem, it will potentially hurt you or others around you.…

Fear University Paper Tigers once again shows why Meg Collett is an awesome Paranormal Author. Book 4 continues it’s fast pace action with the tight knit friends. I always enjoy the fight scenes in this series and how hard these friends fought for what they believed in. They always had each other’s back no matter how they could be feeling inside. They all understood each other and fought as hard as they could together. Even though this book focuses more on Sunny and Zero, we still get lots out of Hatter, Ollie and Luke.…

In A Mango Shaped Space, the main protagonist is Mia Winchell, a 16 year old girl living with synesthesia, a neurological phenomenon in which your senses are jumbled together and words, numbers and sounds have different colors shapes and textures. This can sometimes cause OCD behaviors, for example in Mia's case she can’t write a word or number unless it’s in the color she associates with that symbol. This obviously causes problems for her not only in school, but with her friends and her family. I think this book would be a good addition to the curriculum because it teaches how to cope with adversity, which is something that everyone will have to deal with at some point in their life. The book starts out with a flashback of Mia in third…

Meg, whose real name is Margaret, is the oldest of the four girls. At the start of the novel, she is 16 years old. Even without all the latest clothing and fashion accessories, Meg was still a beautiful lady: “...plump and fair, with large eyes, plenty of soft, brown hair, a sweet mouth, and white hands, of which she was rather vain” (7). With being the eldest, Meg had a certain motherly feel to her. She was always teaching and trying to show her younger sisters how to behave like a proper lady. She understood that sometimes things didn’t go how you liked them, but you can’t let it stop you. Although all the girls really tried to be thankful for what they have, Meg always had the desire of being rich. She envied the girls who wore expensive…
