Wow Dung Beetle

Decent Essays
Brandon, hi.

Wow, dung beetles navigating by stars seems hard to believe. That is really interesting. Using citations such as, Christine Dell'Amore (2013) of National Geographic writes, "[A] new study shows that dung beetles navigate via the Milky Way, the first known species to do so in the animal kingdom" can help give your statement instant credibility. In this case, I had to do a Google search in an attempt to verify your statement. One citation that I did not have to verify of Jurmain et al. (2014) was "We're the only species to ponder our own existence and question how we fit into the spectrum of life on earth" (p. 4) . This is a powerful statement, and one that I very much like, but did not include myself. Thanks for including that

Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh. relationship between colonization and incest behaviors amongst populations of these beetles. Although the species is indicated to have strong relative, kin, and familial recognition, similar to the lemurs studied by Boulet, the difference of the environment and ecological barriers that were present in the beetle populations have major consequences on their mating choices. (Jordal, Beaver, and Kirkendall, 2001) The sociobiological theory approach to incest avoidance also takes into consideration the role of biological and ecological limitations which enforce different pressures on alternate types of environmental relationships (Hartung, 1985). There were consistent differences between the beetle populaces that include incest and inbreeding vs…

In the essay, “Evolution as Fact and Theory,” Stephen Gould defenses Charles Darwin’s theory of Evolution over the beliefs of creationist on God creating all organisms in the world. To further his support, he states his three arguments which are observational evidence, the imperfection of nature, and transitions found in fossil records to demonstrate that even though evolution is just a theory, there are plentiful evidence of facts that supports it. The essay was not just about justifying the theory of evolution to the creationist but also to reject the ideas of blindfolded views on scientific creationism. Throughout the essay, Gould acknowledges many of the major perspectives of the scientific world to support the theory of evolution that…
