How would you feel if you had to serve in the military at only 18? Mandatory military service is cruel and uncalled for because they could have a medical issue, missing limbs and body parts, and they are blind and deaf. It's a little unfair for a girl or boy to have to fight in the military. They might not want to fight in the military for their country, and just want to be a teacher or an astronaut. They might not wanna die for their country and just have a normal life. They might not have the money to pay for stamps to send love letters to their loved ones. The top issue on mandatory service in the military is medical issues. They could have a serious medical issue like it is hard to breath for them. For them not to be able to breath means they're just going to slow their class down. They could have a deadly disease and pass it around their base. If their blind that means that they can't see where the other people are and where to shoot at. If that person is deaf then they can’t hear their commander, and can’t hear the shooting behind them. They could become blind if their shot a way to make them blind. They could also become deaf if the sound bursts their eardrums. That's the final reason why mandatory military service is cruel.
