The high cost in tuition, challenges being faced to get good grades, and maintaining of a high GPA are the most common difficulties mentioned by those opposing college educations. However, in the article, “College is Worth the Cost,” by Brooks C. Holtom, the author fails to mention that when two candidates apply for the same position the majority of the companies would give the candidate with a college degree preference. Addressing the issue of high tuition, there are many scholarships, grants, and other government programs that will help make it affordable for you to attend a university. The reason why professors demand good grades is to force one to challenge themselves in addition to studying and thinking. After graduation I would like to study in the field of engineering to become a structural, design, and space engineer. I will get good grades and apply for as many scholarships or grants available. Ever since I was a little girl, I have dreamed of designing and inventing ideas that would help change the world. I know it takes a long time to study engineering and it’s a challenge that requires a tremendous amount of paying attention, but I’m willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish my dream. Just like Walt Disney said, “If you could dream it, you can do it. Always remember that this whole thing was started with a dream and a mouse.” Later in life, I would like to work for a private company or NASA and get paid
