Over the past couple of weeks I have been traveling down the wonderful road of Worldview. I will be straightforward, I had no idea what the term Worldview meant when the class started, therefore I didn’t know what to expect. However, the hilarious thing about Worldview is that there is not an exact definition of Worldview in my estimation. The best explanation of worldview I have found goes as follows, “A person’s worldview is the overall perspective from which he or she views and interprets the world. It can also include the beliefs about life and the universe held by a group (such as a Christian worldview). The concept is from a German word Weltanschauung. ” A worldview is the “overall view” that individuals perceive their place in the world, as well as the actions they will take and how they organize the events in their life to make meaning of them.
In regards to the question of Origin from a Christian Worldview, the issue can be answered in the Bible of course. Genesis 1:1 is where we Christians discern that God created the earth and everything in it. That is essentially everything we need to know about Origin from a biblical worldview position. In the hymn Psalm, Psalm 8:3-9, we also see it written how God’s glory should be praised by every creation. Once again we have scriptural proof that points to the fact that God created the earth and everything in it.
The question of Identity as it relates to a Biblical Worldview teaches Christians that God created man. Evidence…
