World's Smallest Political Quiz

This was my first time taken the World’s Smallest Political Quiz. I have my own thoughts and beliefs about some of the questions that I didn’t believe in. I’ve never been in depth with politics or even political issues but I do have my own beliefs in certain areas. The quiz labeled me as a Statists, but I completely disagree. Statists believes in big government, they think that the government should control everything from individuals up to society. Although, I don’t have a party, I don’t believe the term “statists” fit me; I believe I’m more of a centrists. I tend to keep an open mind about things and don’t completely agree with the liberals or conservatives. “Centrism is not about doing what is popular, it is about doing what is right. Personally, I am strongly against abortions. Even though it’s not a fully developed baby it’s a life that can be produced. I feel as though, there are other alternatives to abortion like adoption. Don’t kill an innocent life because one can’t own up their reasonability, everyone deserves a chance at life. There are people who wish they could have kids, but people want to kill a life; bless someone else with that child, who would be gladly to care for it. “If you are a Liberal, you believe that a woman has the right to decide what happens with her body. A fetus is not a human life, so it does not have separate individual rights” ( ). The previous statement is true, a woman does have the right to decide what happens to her body but I’m strongly against it. Just because I’m against it doesn’t mean I’m going to judge someone that do go out to get an abortion because that’s my own personal beliefs. “On the other hand, if you are a Conservative, you believe human life begins at conception. Abortion is the murder of a human life. An unborn baby, as a living human being, has separate, individual rights from that of the mother” (Kamide). I completely agree with the conservative point of view. However, another big issue seems to be same sex marriage. When it comes down to same sex marriage I agree more with the liberals more than the …show more content…
Everyone deserves love and happiness and nobody should feel like they can’t live their life because of what the next person think. Conservatives believe that it, “…violates moral and religious beliefs of millions of Christians, Jews, Muslims and others, who believe marriage is the union of one man and one woman” ( ). I personally know Christians that are lesbians but it doesn’t affect the way they feel about the man above. No I don’t condone it but at the same time I feel as though, I nor we don’t have the right to judge nobody. Also, they feel that it violates religious beliefs; what if they not religious? I believe the conservatives are thinking about it in a way to benefit

Assignment I: Political Continuum Lluvia Herrera Policy I: Understanding Social Welfare Policy Wichita State University Assignment I: Political Continuum After taking the Political Typology quiz my results described me as hard-pressed skeptic. When reading the description I can say that I agree with some of it, for example I am distrustful of the government because I don't believe that they are corrupt and do what is best for a specific group of individuals and not the entire United States. I definitely lean more to the Democratic side, I believe that good things come with hard work, however; I also believe that some individuals need extra help to get things to happen.…

First, conservatives respect the traditions of yesterday which in this case is that contraception is meddling in the way of god and abortion is murder. Contraception and abortion being two of the five major services which planned parenthood provides. Did you know from Roe v. Wade in 1973 to 2011, about 53 million legal abortions were performed in the United States - an average of 1.4 million a year? The debate over whether or not abortion should be legal continues to divide this country today long after the Supreme Court’s 7-2 ruling on Roe v. Wade declaring the procedure a fundamental right on January 22, 1973. There are three different views on the issue of abortion: the extreme conservative view, the extreme liberal view and moderate view, which lie in between both extremes. The extreme conservative view, identifying themselves as anti-abortionists (also known as being pro-life), contend that personhood begins at conception, therefore abortion by their definition is homicide. The second view on the issue of abortion is the extreme liberal view.…

Web Assignment Political Party Research: Independent/Moderate (Modern Whig Party). I was attracted to this party because it is the one I identify with the most. I took the Political Party Quiz and overall my political values were close to that of an Independent, and I am not too heavily opinionated on many issues, I’m open to hearing others’ views, so I like that this party is not very one-sided on the spectrum. Some key priorities and beliefs of the party include: fiscal responsibility, strong national defense, and bold social progression.…

I took the Worlds Smallest Political Quiz and it stated that I agree with the Liberals the most. According to the quiz Liberals “usually embrace freedom of choice in personal matters, but tend to support significant government control of the economy. They generally support a government-funded "safety net" to help the disadvantaged, and advocate strict regulation of business. Liberals tend to favor environmental regulations, defend civil liberties and free expression, support government action to promote equality, and tolerate diverse lifestyles.” I definitely agree with this statement because I am a huge enforcer in freedom of choice and personal matters.…

In Patrick Lee’s and Robert P. George’s, On The Wrong of Abortion, it is argued that abortions are objectively immoral. To support this conclusion, Lee and George state that, the fetus is a complete person in an immature phase of development, that the fetus has the potential to develop into a “person” and that abortions are intentional killings. Pro-Choice defenders argue that a human fetus is not a human being because it cannot live on its own, that they are not ‘people’, and that the mother has the executive decision of not wanting the child in her uterus. According to Patrick Lee in another one of his works, The Pro-Life Argument from Substantial Identity: A Defence. Bioethics , He claims that “What makes it wrong to kill you or me now would…

In today’s societies around the world, there is currently two factions of the highly controversial topic of abortion and whether it should be allowed or outlawed. These two factions on opposite sides are pro-choice and pro-life. Pro-choice supporters in essence believes a woman has the right to an abortion if she decides to do so. On the other hand, pro-life supporters believe the fetus is its own human being and has the right to live, thus an abortion cannot be performed on the woman. Judith Jarvis Thomson, a philosophy professor supports the right to an abortion in her paper, “A defense of Abortion” (186).…
