In unit 5, I learned a lot about the executive order of 9066 during the World War II. In high school and middle school the subject of the Pearl Harbor attack was a little vague compared to what I know now. We only learned the events leading up to the attack and what happen after the attack. We never learned what the Japanese Americans had to go through and how they were discriminated against. They forced to leave their houses, business, farms, schools, and jobs to go into a refugee camp due to Americans fearing the unknown. Ted Talk of George Takei was really inspiring on how his family and he overcame the obstacle of being in America after the Pearl Harbor attack.
