Currently, over 21,000 people around the world dies everyday from famine, hunger, and war. That is equivalent to 1 person dying every 4 seconds, or 14 people dying every minute. (Shah “Around The World”) To solve the issue of poverty and conflict, movements and efforts have continuously increased all around the world. There are two well-known activist groups that both have been striving to help people suffering with these problems since the 1970s, World Vision and Doctors Without Borders. World Vision is an international humanitarian NGO founded in 1977 by Walter Stanley Mooneyham. (“World Vision”) The organization since then has done various projects including medical treatment, education for children, emergency relief, and providing resources to people in poorer regions. Doctors Without Borders, or MSF (Medecins Sans Frontieres) is an international organization for providing medical care where the majority of its projects take place in regions with conflict and developing countries. This team provides logistics, crisis response and management, while also accessing the situation, the number of people affected, and their needs through consulting. After this, they send the report back to their headquarters office. When the project is approved, the staff in headquarters start selecting personnel, organizing materials, and resources, securing project funds. The nearest operation center sends technical equipment and resources – which are distributed through local office and logistics center. All of field work are ran by a manager in the region and coordination team. The project has an average lifespan of 3 to 4 years. (Tomlinson “Opening A
