World hunger is one of the top ten biggest global issues.The leading cause of world hunger is poverty because people living in places with a high level of poverty can't afford nutritional food for themselves or their families they then become weak emotionally and physically which makes it less possible for them to earn money to escape poverty and hunger. The effects of undernourishment can be long-lasting, hunger delays development on a cognitive social and emotional level. Children who experience hunger early are most likely to perform poorly in academically they are also likely to have a lower IQ and a less developed brain. Also children who experience a long period of poverty have chemicals released from their brain.
