Personal Statement
Ever since I helped raise money to buy a cow for an underprivileged family, I have always thought of helping out even more. I have always loved giving back to others, but Now is the time to start helping out. The problem I want to help solve is World Hunger. I know it may take awhile if it ever does to eliminate. In far away countries many innocent people are dying from hunger and incurable diseases not seen in America. On WFP.org ( world food program) it is said that in sub- sarahan Africa one out of every four people is malnourished. World Hunger is very important to me ever since I really had a sense of it. The first time I understood what it was, was at CCD. CCD is a church program where children have education of religious things. In my CCD class my teacher started to talk about malnutrition and World Hunger. I started realizing that it is a sickness that is hard to overcome in certain areas of the world. After finishing the class that day I went home and thought hard about malnutrition. The next time I had the class I gave out the idea that my classmates and I help raise money for a animal for a family that has not had a lot in their lives. My teacher loved the idea and my classmates and I contributed two hundred dollars to buy a Cow. Knowing that I helped make a family happy feels astounding. Even after that, I

This can benefit many people giving them happiness and healthiness. If 100 people gave 10 dollars a week, that would be staggering how much it would benefit the hungry. One of the reasons I wanna give back so much may be because I’ve had so much given to me that I never needed; Christmas presents that were never opened or barely used. All of those presents could have been gold for kids that never had anything to look forward at christmas
