Not one person is identical to another person in their behaviourism , similarly the impact and consequences of workplace harassment differ from one person to another and will also differ according to the severity and duration of harassment. But there maybe some common thoughts that might go through a persons mind when they are experiencing something this grave which I have jotted down as
• Disbelief - The victims mind will never be able to digest the fact that they are being harassed, this will be the first reaction.

Company Image - There might be a negative image on company’s public image due to interference of media or informally through word of mouth.
Prevention of Harassment
An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure , an example can be made of India where the Workplace harassment cases have nearly double in the past year despite having laws against Harassment and having an Internal Complain Committee (ICC) , the country’s example can be taken of how the attention has to be given to prevention as the problem can once in for all tackled with the due care and attention.
The prevention of harassment from happening is the responsibility of the employer as it is not only an obligation but an requirement for the safe and secure environment of the workplace. It should be in every employers interest to be active about this issue and prevent it rather than to cry over spilt milk and having to address this issue after any incident has happened.
Practicality is the way to prevent harassment and start is by :
