Working With Teens

What are key things to keep in mind when working with teens (attitudes, skills, values)? I think the one think that people who are looking to work with teens should keep in mine is to always to look to learn how things are different from back in the days. For example, people who were studying to work with teens in the 1900's had to learn how things worked when technology came in the 2000's. How it worked and how teens are using it in their daily lives. In 20 years thinks might be different so I will need to take some class or go to some conferences to learn a thing or two.
