A lot of people seek to get complete control of their lives. But, in this day and age, it is very difficult to do so. You have debts to pay, you have a job to go to everyday, a boss to report to, deadlines to meet, and much more. But, just because it is difficult to get more independence in your life, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try. One major step you can take is earning a passive income. There are a lot of advantages associated with a passive income that aren’t offered by traditional active incomes. I’m going to go through all the main ones. I guarantee that if you aren’t already sold on the idea of earning a passive income, then this list of advantages will convince you.

But, it definitely applies with the two most popular means of earning a passive income, website building and EBook writing. When you build a website or write an EBook you can work on your own terms. Want to work a lot on weekdays and take weekends off? You can do that. Want to take Mondays off? You can do that. Want to do an hour of work each day so that you can have the rest of the day to yourself? You can do that. Want to take an extended vacation? You can do that. There is not a lot of flexibility when it comes to working in a regular corporate environment; especially if you live in the United States. Sure, you may get 2 or 3 weeks of vacation time, but a lot of people want more.
