I'm very impressed that you work at a pediatric emergency room. I can imagine you see all sorts of horrible and sad things and I respect you so much for being able to stay calm in those situations and offer your help! That is such an important and valuable place to work and I think it takes a special kind of person who has the right amounts of strength, patience, and caring. You should be proud. I don't think I could do it because I would just be upset and tramautized all the time and that wouldn't be helpful to anyone. ;)

I also appreciated that you gave some advice about how you manage your online classes. This is my first one and I am already finding it a little more difficult than a normal class in keeping track of the assignments and

The week 6 assignment, was so much fun choosing a topic of my liking. I was not constricted to a specific topic and gave me the freedom of reading through different articles on the importance of Healthcare Informatics. The week 7, was like a cooling platform at the end of the course. The instructor was very caring and understanding that we were slightly overloaded and eliminated the number of assignments and test, giving us more time to focus on research based tasks. In the last journal entry, I gave a suggestion about the assignment submission dates creating confusion.…

After reading this chapter I had very mixed emotions. Growing up with a religious background and working at Children’s Rehab Center with kids that are diagnosed with mental, physical, and cognitive problems I believe that every human being is considered a person. No matter how small the human being is. The book states that a person is defined as “someone who is capable of psychological and social interaction with others, capable of deciding on a course of action and being held responsible for that action.”…

If I would for any reason want to change my position, there are many opportunities for advancement that I could chose from. This doesn’t mean that I would get tired of what I do, but it’s good to know that there is other options out there that I could use my training and degree for. Finally, since I have already done a lot for this career, for instance, open houses, health days, and research, I feel that I have a pretty good understanding of exactly what it takes to be a pediatric nurse.…
