Them: Some of my biggest fears when creating Work2Hard copyright infringement and and developing my brand. I didn’t want my clothes to look like everyone else’s clothes. I wanted them to be stylish, good quality, and affordable for all price points. I wasn’t afraid that my product was going to look like other products on the market, but I was afraid that my product would end up being poor quality like a lot of other brands out there. I knew that the creative aspect was on my side, but making sure that my fabrics and embroidery was high quality was a challenge. So many things are made overseas and are low quality. I didn’t want to be like all the other brands.
Me: I can understand his fears and why they are legitimate. It’s hard to breakout into such a competitive mark as a little unknown brand. It’s like jumping into the job market was not a lot os experience. It’s scary, there is a lot of room for failure, but there is also a lot of room for learning that is available. The more connections you have, the better. Through more connections, things would be a lot easier. For example; building a website, finding clothing manufactures, and finding investors. I also wish I had less of a delay when receiving product. It’s frustrating when samples take almost a month to ship. If it would only take a week, things would be a lot easier and running a lot faster. Really though, I wish I would have known when going into business how long and how much time and energy it takes to really make things happen. Things do not happen over night and I’ve spent countless nights not sleeping and just working on my products and designs. Trying to run a business really is a full time job. It’s not for people who want to half-ass
