Work Ethic Reflection

One major event that marked my transition from childhood to adulthood, was earning the award of employee of the month twice. This reward was received from my job at Sixflags. Both management and customers have commended me on my tremendous knowledge and exemplary service. This achievement marked my transition because it showed proof of my great work ethic. It helped me gain a better position at my job. Also, it gave me the confidence to handle various situations I may face dealing with different people.

To work at a place like Sixflags you have to be able to deal with all sorts of people and personalities. The way I overcome people who don't speak English and customers who are really frustrated and angry about something, really stood out to the rest of my supervisors. I start to figure out more and more ways to cooperate with people and make my job easier as well as making their day a whole lot better. When my manager said one of the main reasons I was given the reward was for my people skills, that showed me that whatever I was doing that helped make the day of a customer as enjoyable and stress-free as possible was effective and was working really well.
In conclusion, this was a pretty special accomplishment for me. Considering that this was my first job and I was able to receive recognition like this, made it so much better. This marked my transition from childhood to adulthood because showed that other people see what great work ethic I have. I was able to get a promotion in my department. I gained confidence to handle all types of people that come my way. I felt that I had a big responsibility and trust from my co-workers and
