For many people the summertime is that time of year to unwind under the 95 degree sun. However, for music fans summertime is that time of year to attend one of the many fantastic music festivals. They bring us back to the 1960s when rock and roll transformed regular live shows into community building events. Some of history’s most definitive moments of music have closely related with music festivals. Back in the 1960s Woodstock changed rock and roll. With an attendance of over 400,000 in three days, Rolling Stone lists it as “50 Moments That Changed the History of Rock and Roll”. Woodstock was the defining moment in music festivals. Technological advancements have changed the industry indefinitely. The fans may be at the shows but they are also glued to their phones. Many people are live-streaming other festivals while attending one live. Live streaming services such as Live Media Group enable fans to stream as many as four shows at the same time. One of the joys of going to festivals is being able to stage hope and get a taste of different bands. The majority of fans watch the show on a 5-inch screen with a 360-degree view right in front of them. They want to hold the memories close to them. Half of the time people there don’t want to watch the show live at all. Soon this could all change for those with iOS devices. Apple just agreed to install a camera feature that can detect if you are at a live concert and will interrupt the signal that goes from the stage to the audience. This technology is going to spread to other events including movie theatres and music festivals. This new feature may be able to bring the live experience back into the live
