After eating I have all the children together for a large group time in the classroom where we share music, poetry and finger plays, as well as language and skill development lessons. The older two girls then have small group lessons with my husband to work on school readiness skills. The classroom is set up in divided learning areas for children to investigate during free and independent play and are often incorporated into group time. In the creative play area children take on household roles with a kitchen, dress-up clothing, dolls, pets, and other creative role play materials. A block area with several types of blocks, play people, animals, and vehicles challenge the imagination. A manipulative center, with fine motor toys, encourage cognitive skills to blossom with building skills associated with eye hand coordination and memory. Other work areas in the classroom are science, math, art, books, and music. While working with a small space, it is necessary to store some work materials on top of the classroom divider shelf and made available when requested. Many additional materials are stored in the classroom closet, house attic, and garage and are used for rotation to keep the children

Introduction Lumpkin County Parks and Rec was an experience I will never forget. As a future educator, it showed me how to treat children and how not to treat them. The program that I attended was only during the summer and was open from seven in the morning to six in the afternoon. There were around three to four college-aged counselors at a time looking after the children. None of the counselors were 4ducation majors, so they were not learning the different techniques of disciplining and treating children with respect.…

Storage should be available for each activity and labeled to encourage the association of words and objects for younger children.…

He did acknowledge the existing Amish Country Theater helps to attract visitors from great distances, and, with that understanding, encouraged them to apply for a bed tax grant, many of which are awarded, but for a maximum of about $10,000 a year, often much less. The commissioners did say they would consider a proposal to waive wastewater tap fees up to the cost of construction of a lift station to service the property and surrounding areas. They encouraged the Conns to make application to County Engineer Chris Young who could then officially present the request to the commissioners for approval. That option, the commissioners agreed, is one they could, theoretically, get behind, knowing it has the potential to serve a larger community, helps to improve the infrastructure and is similar in nature to assistance offered to other businesses with respect to wastewater improvements.…
