In this situation, I agree with the demands the students from the Black Justice League of Princeton are protesting for. Even with all the accomplishments Woodrow Wilson has achieved; it doesn't take away from the fact that he was a racist. Unfortunately, when he became president of the United States in 1913 he took action to degrade African-Americans. An example of this comes from writer Gordon J. Davis when he describes his grandfather being relegated shortly after Wilson became president. Wilson believed African-Americans were inferior to whites and should be working in lower status jobs. Now imagine what the students at a University named after him must experiment. There's a constant reminder of how much the campus worships him and how their presence isn't entirely welcomed.
