1. A time based logistics would definitely be profitable for Woodmere and Home Help. Home Help needs product fast to their stores to make sure there is not a short of supply with stock out. It talks in the article that JEAN JEAN is a company that uses time base logistics and they are showing it to be efficient and profitable. The stock gets purchased at the stores and the information is transmitted automatically to the manufacturer so that new stock can be produced and sent. This kind of technology can benefit both companies by providing real time information. I know that the article stated that Home Help is showing profits that are consistent, and I believe it would be a tough sell to fix what is not broken, but from a business stand …show more content…
Like any purchase or huge business adventure there will be big and small risks. Neither company has tried a time based system before but I believe that the profit outweighs the risk. Every company has its own aches through new systems but I am sure that the college friend would be more than willing to help. If I were the management of Woodmere I would make sure that my workers did as much research on the new system to make sure that on start day there are few hiccups.
