Wood Mill Research Paper

Decent Essays
This project is super easy and produces a pretty good result. The wood element takes the quality of everything up a notch and helps make this item perfect for both boys and girls like that.

materials:

- Elastic cords (red, yellow, blue)

- Wood Stain (Golden Pecan, Jacobean, Sedona Red)

- 3 hobby 2 foot boards

- Kit to hang

Tools:

- drill

- lighter

- stapler

- hammer

This is the best project completed outdoors. Not only the wood stain needs ventilation, but these particles of wood dust that come from the drilling can be rather annoying.

First, drill two holes in each sheet hobby. Use a drill bit that is as thick or slightly thicker than the size of your bungee. We got these hobby cards for $ 5 a pop to Home Depot. The great thing about these is that they are lightweight and easy to work. Also, they require no sanding. Point!

Use a cloth or paper cloth to color each piece of wood. Allow to dry for 10 minutes or so.

Cut off the hook bungee cords. Use a lighter to seal the ends so that the cord does not fray. Then pull through the hole you just created and bow to the card. A staple gun would work best for this, but we recorded and used on a regular stapler combined with a hammer.

The first way I could use this easel would be to use it as a launching pad for my RC helicopter/drone by setting it down on the top of the easel where all three pieces of wood meet and make the helicopter/drone be balanced and in upright position. I could also tilt the RC helicopter/drone so it would take off in one specific direction using the top of the easel's awkward shape. The second way I could use this easel is I could use it as a computer stand by sitting inside of the three boards and putting a small computer (like my Mac) on the spot where the painting would go.…

If the name Headwaters Forest Preserve does not ring a bell, you might recall Julia Butterfly Hill, who spent 738 days between 12/10/1997 and 12/18/1999 in the tree affectionately known as "Luna," to prevent Pacific Lumber Company loggers from cutting it down. Pacific Lumber had been bought by Maxxam Corp., and they were clear cutting everything in sight to pay off the bonds they sold to buy this forest. Pacific Lumber, which had been doing sustainable logging for generations, suddenly became an environmental villain due to the hostile takeover. Senator Dianne Feinstein helped put together $380 million in state and federal money to purchase Headwaters, a pristine old growth redwood forest, within the Pacific Lumber lands, east of Eureka.…

This only makes the capital richer because they pay the miners a very low income based on how much they mine and how much they work.
