Wonder by R.J Palacio is about a ten year old boy who is name is August Pullman A.K.A Auggie. Auggie has been homeschooled his whole life due to his difficult health issues, similar to a dramatic cranio-facial abnormality and the rigorous surgery schedule that comes with it. Auggie’s parent start thinking about how much better Auggie would understand life and not think that he is the only one with problems and how he could meet other people with the same health issues if he went to public school. So, Auggie enters fifth grade which is considered as middle school at Beecher Prep in Manhattan. In the beginning, Auggie fears the image of many people staring at him.
