In the article titled “Face-Off on the playing Field,” Judith B. Stamper explorers the issue of female athletes competing on traditional boys’ sports teams. First, stamper explains how opponents argue that girls are not aggressive enough. They say that playing contact sports like football and wrestling put girls at risk of serious physical harm. The author also reports that some male athletes are uncomfortable having physical contact with girls. Some boys feel that it is wrong or ungentlemanly to be aggressive toward girls.…
Youth and even high school should ban tackle football and consider playing flag football. Flag football can be fun for everyone all ages as no tackling occurs resulting in no or few injuries. This would be encouraged by doctors and officials to help the future of playing football. In the NFL, league officials should discuss new rules allowing players to only hit in certain areas. If violated, the league should face strict punishments to players as they are damaging not only a player’s life but also himself.…

Critics often argue that football is becoming more safe because of increased regulations that more firmly police players. However, that reasoning is absolutely not correct… Because there are continuous illegal and cheap hits. The NFL has increased in their efforts to try and stop domestic violence. They have put forth a new effort to try and stop the players from committing the crime by punishing them in their abilities to play in…
Sadly the victim most of the time has to suffer more then the player, most of the wives and girlfriends are beaten or worse and the NFL does very little to prevent players from committing these crimes. A prime example of this is Josh Brown of the New York Giants. Mr. Brown had admitted to “beating his wife on multiple occasions and was allowed to remain on the roster after only a one game suspension” (Belson). This is outrageous because he had admitted to beating his wife and only was only suspended for one game. He was still allowed to play in the league and remain on the roster after the incident while his wife had to live with being beaten by her husband for the rest of her life.…
Women have struggled for years to gain equality with their male counterparts. In the 1960’s, women were expected to marry in their early 20’s and devote all of their time to domestic chores in the home. She was expected to watch after her children and have dinner ready for her husband he arrived home from work. Because of this, women had fewer opportunities in sports and were seen as inferior to men. It wasn’t until a famous tennis match in 1973 between a woman, Billie Jean King, and a man, Bobby Riggs, titled the “Battle of the Sexes,” that the nation started to realize women should be viewed on an equal playing field in not just sports but, in life.…

Properly fitting helmets can also make a huge difference when it comes to the prevention of concussions. The right helmet can do a lot for you and can significantly reduce how much your head may shake when it is rattled up. The AAN conducted several tests to compare brands of football helmets and what kind of force they can encounter. The studies were drop tests with the helmets and then with force sensors inside the helmet.…

The sports world also needs to start recognizing the talent women have and not just the appearance of them. In most of the sports women play the uniforms reveal much more skin than in male sports.
