Women like Hannah Blair, Deborah Sampson, and Mary Waters decided to risk becoming spies, secret soldiers, and nurses for the Patriot army. Their work has been remembered and they inspired other women during the Revolutionary War and later times to stand up for themselves, their rights, and show their ability to do the same things men could.
