The role of women in the 16th century was terrible because they didn’t have the rights we do in the 21st century like education, free will, ability to become lawyers, doctors, and teachers, or marry who we wanted. They had no right to speak publicly, but they did have to like care of the house, the kids, and even their husbands like they can’t do it themselves. They were even expected to have at least one child every year or two. There was arranged marriages which they could to at the age of 12 and they didn’t even get to choose who they married.

They could only be tailors, dryers, shoemakers, servants, nannies, and embroiders. They could not be lawyers, doctors, or teachers but now women can be all of these things and more including first ladies of the white house and commanding officers in the navy and I am gonna raise it one more by saying that we can be the leaders of teams and the country.
One thing that I have been trying to prove wrong lately is that we can work just as hard and even harder than men but in the 16th century the men would do the work while the women would stay home and take care of their families. Although yes, this is an important job but it shouldn’t be just for women, is can also be a job for their fathers.
In these times the women had very little rights to what we were ALLOWED to keep and what were ALLOWED to do like vote, or do the work we do now working as hard as we do. Women in these times had it tough but they also had more than some women do now. Some of the nice things they had that women nowadays don’t even contemplate of ever getting is the chance to be lazy but also at the same time hard working.
