Diverse management skills have even greater significance for public sector leaders and organizations. (Soni, 2004) In addition, a stronger diverse workforce is necessary to overcome the process difficulties that employee diversity can generate. (Pitts and Town, 2015) Thus allowing for a more diverse workforce among the departments.
• Equality Among Supervisory Positions. There should be four basic qualities of leadership among men and women in the departments such as: 1.) strategic vision, 2.) ability to motivate others, 3.) ethnic of hard work, and 4.) integrity. (Soni, 2004) This will provide a more sophisticated and holistic approach to the leadership roles. (Van Wart, 2003)
• Focus On New Plans to Retain Accountability. Accountability involves the means by which agencies and their workers manage the diverse expectations generated within and outside the organizations. (Romzek and Dubnick, 1987) This should improve the authoritative control over the defense departments and allow a diverse group of leadership.
• Emphasis on Planning for Downsizing. The planning for downsizing allows for smart proactive decision making and during the periods of organizational turbulence. (Soni, 2004) Planning can also create a disciplined effort to produce fundamental decisions and actions shaping the nature and direction of an organization’s activities within legal guidelines.
