Girls in high schools are facing issues of inequality especially in sports. The problem is that women are seen as the ''weaker sex.'' Alexandra Raphel a journalist stated that between 2009 and 2010 school year 53 athletic opportunities were conducted for every 100 boys but only 41 for every 100 girls. In certain education systems less funding is contributed to female sports and a higher percentage is funded to male sports such as rugby, cricket and soccer. In the workplace where a man and a woman are working for the same company and in the same position, it is still a fact that men earn more money than women. In order for women to get equal pay they would have to work an extra 40 hard working days due to the gender pay gab being at 35%. “This means women effectively earn in a full year what men earn in eight months,” according to Sandra Burmeister, CEO of executive search firm Amrop Landelahni.
