The film, “Mulan” , is the first film that Disney has adopted the Chinese element as a film theme and it tells the story of a Sui Dynasty woman, Mulan, fights against the Huns for her farther. In order to make the film looks Disney characteristic and also to retain the Chinses style, Disney carefully studied Chinese martial arts one by one. In addition, the film is full of Chinese elements, painting techniques, and music, such as “the three obedience and four virtues” . The film, “The great debaters”, mainly talks about a life of the black debaters. “The Great debater” criticized the racial discrimination in the U.S., but still to beautify the U.S. and praised the mainstream American culture. In one of the scene, although the black brothers beat the Harvard team in the debate, but to be recognized by Harvard is their greatest victory. Also, the film’s powerful political themes and tearful dramatic scenes push past the limits of its predictable format. Moreover, most of the blacks have never received fair treatment since the moment they set foot on the American continent. Until the 1970s, blacks have no right to vote, no opportunity for good education, no decent jobs, and no personal development opportunities.
