Throughout history women have fought a long, hard battle for their rights. Men, and even some women, all over the world believe that women do not share the same value and importance to society as men do. On September 5, 1995, Hillary Clinton spoke at the 4th World Conference on Women on behalf of women all over the world. Clinton raised awareness on how women 's rights are being violated and why it is important to recognize women 's rights as equal to everyone else’s rights. Even today, in 2016, the words Clinton in 1995 spoke still impact the world. Hillary Clinton, a powerful, credible women told the world emotional, mental, and physical hardships that many women face everyday, and why addressing this problem will impact the world. To Begin, Clinton recognized the importance of Women. The World Conference of Women is about acknowledging all the work that women do, and why they are a key aspect to success in a nation. Clinton told the world the important role women play everyday “in the home, on the job, in the community, as mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, learners, workers, citizens, and leaders”. Women play an important role in almost every aspect of life. They are raising the next generation of leader, doctors, teachers. It is very hard to successfully accomplish this task when they do not have access to essential needs. Women are being denied access to healthcare, education, jobs and basic legal rights.
