As rape statistics rose many abortions were contributing to the statistics. Women should always have the right to do whatever they want with their bodies.Others should not have the right to control what people do in situations such as abortions. If the female doesn 't want the baby there shouldn 't be laws against it. There are always other options such as adoption but if the mother doesn 't like it then there shouldn 't be laws against her decision. Some pregnancies were a result from sexual assault and the mother doesn 't feel comfortable raising a child that was conceived out of a bad situation shouldn 't be punished for doing what was best for her.Those who must obey laws, that have a voice in making laws, and those that pay taxes should have the right to vote. Educational and humane legislation wanted by women would have been easily accomplished if women were allowed to vote during women’s suffrage. Women weren 't allowed to vote because many thought women were less intelligent than men. Women should have been allowed to vote because they could have possibly ,made the government better. Voting would have been more fair and women could learn from the elections. It could have helped men have input on their decisions on who to vote for. Many have become role models for young women such as I. The woman who I choose to admire is Shirley Chisholm. She was the first black congresswoman. Also women have served on the supreme court namely Ruth BAder Ginsburg, Sonia Sotomayor , Elena Kagan, and the first being Sandra Day O’Connor all have served as supreme court justices in the United States America.They have passed many amendments to the constitution and bill of rights they have also passed bills for gay marriages, social equality for women in the workplace and society. They have also been institutional in approving amendments to the constitution for racial equality in the workplace
