I had not imagined that these women were so smart and love science and engineer. Even thought they were only being recognize as human computer and not engineer, they are willing to help and be a part of space exploration. Even if they were treated badly, they still remain strong and support each other that their long contribution in that field able to change men view to recognize their ability. I also like the speaker and maybe in the future class, you could bring more speaker to talk about their experience and this could inspire some female students too. The speaker was a cool and amazing woman, but I feel that she did not experience women’s issues that much and this is probably because she has her family, who are her supporter, especially her father who did not care about the social rule about women. This probably made a huge impact on her to continue pursuing her career goal. I am not familiar with the way this class is structured, since my other classes have it more structure, strict and everything is planned all out. But still I like how we can change and adjust some of the assignment, so it workable for everybody, which other class will not be able to do that much. Also I like how you give us the opportunity to decide and speak about out our thought of what we want to do in class. The presentation ideas and books you assigned, I feel that it is very teaching us about women in technology and women struggle to be recognized by society and men.
