Women Should Be Allowed In The Military

Women are in the military but are they happy with the jobs they have? Combat jobs have been restricted from women because the armed forces think that men are the only ones capable due to strength, endurance, and knowledge. Women have as much right to be assigned combat jobs as much as men because it is their life they are putting at risk and if they think they are strong enough and smart enough they should be able to. Women should have a choice whether they want to have combat jobs or not. Combat jobs are the ability to be able assigned to a physical job in the military that puts you in the line of fire or puts you in danger. Every change made by one of the services in the jobs open to women becomes a news item met with praise or negativity. When one considers the many changes made in the last few years along with the current trend it seems we are getting to the point where we could become a fully integrated military with men and women doing the jobs they would like to do. Though still to this day women having combat jobs is a very controversial subject. In this essay we have discussed the various arguments of why women can’t do certain jobs and what kinds of jobs those may be. We also talked about what women did in ancient times and up until World War 2. We discussed the various reasons why women are equal to men and how certain opinions of them can be swayed to facts. Ultimately the reason for this essay is to explain that women can be equal to men and that there shouldn’t be restrictions just on women because of their gender. They should be treated as if they are the same, they should be trained together, share the same jobs, respect each other, etc. Though it seems there is no good reason for women not to have the jobs they want the armed forces, women should be able to be happy with jobs they have along with men. Sometime in the near future we will hopefully see the integration of men and women fighting alongside each other
