For all Jews, especially those living in Israel, serving in the IDF is not only a matter for pride, but it´s also a matter for public recognition and opens a lot of doors. All people in Israel, except religious people, are required and encouraged to serve and given that Israel is such a small country with such a small population, it totally makes sense to have women serving alongside men. Women in the IDF take combat very seriously because it´s a duty. They put dedication into their work and they “are just as committed as men, sometimes even more.” (Dobryznski) This demonstrates that with seriousness and motivation, women can be just as outstanding as men in the military and that co-ed militaries can be totally
