While women in most Western countries have stood up against the oppression and have found their voices, some cultures still uphold severe restrictions on women and their way of life. For example, today in most Muslim countries, some rules do not allow women such fundamental rights as driving or walking around alone. A man has to accompany a woman at all times (Murray, 2012). However, women in the Western World including Canada have fought hard to overcome this type oppression and they enjoy some freedom. Eventually, the woman raises a healthy and a happy family (Qasim & Akram, 2015). However, for women to gain access to good and high paying jobs, they have to have equal opportunities for education and skill training. The government can also help women through micro-finance, vocational training so that the women can start to alter their lives and those of their families.
