With the current President Election with a woman running for the Presidency this term was thrown around often and brought light to this topic. In 2014 the Feminist Majority Foundation reported that the “Old-Boy Network” is still very strong and that corporate leaders that are men have a tendency to choose and promote men to the top that are as much like themselves as possible. There is also sexual discrimination towards female executive that are being excluded from “certain kinds of meeting” because they are not viewed as policy makers. Some issues that I have experienced in the current day is that out of 24 sales representatives I am the only female holding the same position. Also, last year I approached my VP of Sales to be entered into the companies Leadership Program and he agreed and told me that he “wanted me in the next scheduled training” and to get in touch with my General Manager to get this schedule. A year later I still have not been but there have been 2 male employees that have attended in that same time period. I also am at 100% sales growth from last year in the first 6 months of this fiscal year and I am being told that it is “not enough” and I have never been handed any new accounts to work with but several male sales representatives have been given many different opportunities and have not had the success that I have
