The Pope, bishop, and priest. The bishop of Rome is the Pope, currently Pope Francis (Jorge Mario Bergoglio). Bishops are in charge of the a state’s diocese. Priests are in charge of the community church. In order to receive these positions you need to a monastery to study theology. Women in the Catholic community, not allowed to become the Pope, bishop, or a priest. This is not due to show who has more power, but because of the Holy Order that Jesus made and no one in the world has the power to change that. The season of Lent is a season for fasting and prayer. Catholics choose something to give up for forty-six days before Easter Sunday. Catholics receive ashes on their foreheads in the sign of the cross which symbolizes the dust when God made us. Palm Sunday is the final day of the season of Lent. Catholics receive palms for the representation from when Christ made it back to the Jerusalem grounds. On that day people welcomed him with palms. After this is the start of Holy week. Holy Thursday is the day He shared His Last Supper with the disciples in Jerusalem. Good Friday is a legal holiday around the world. Good Friday is the day after Holy Thursday where He was crucified
