Women In Law Enforcement

(There are men and women who protect and serve our communities; these individuals work in law enforcement behind the scenes.) Although when people think of law enforcement, the first job title they think of is a police officer. Citizens tend to forget about the other law enforcement occupations that are in the criminal justice profession. Law enforcement is not just policemen in a uniforms who pull you over and issue you a traffic citation. Law enforcement is a profession of men and women that work together to protect and serve the communities they work in. To protect and serve, is a guiding and foundational statement for persons working in law enforcement including correctional officers, dispatchers, and narcotic detectives.

Narcotic detective drive unmarked police units and generally blend in with the public. Narcotic detectives do not wear uniforms or wear a bulletproof vest in their day to day activities. Narcotic detectives protect the public by keeping drugs off the streets. With drugs being kept off the streets it helps to keep criminal activities at a minimum.
(Whether the persons in criminal justice are serving behind the scenes or on the front line, they need each other to help protect and sever the citizens in the area.) These men and women work long hours to keep all their family and citizens safe in their community. Many law enforcement jobs are considered to be “behind the scenes” positions. All men and women that have a law enforcement career protect and serve the community in their own way. Correctional officers, dispatchers, and narcotic detectives work hard every day to protect and serve our
