For Centuries, women have never really been equally to our fellow man due to different cultural beliefs and how women have been seen come about in many areas of life. Women over the years have made a come up by now making up about half of the Workforce and doing many other things such as appear in politics, media, sports, etc. A quote, “In the sky, there is no distinction of east and west; people create distinctions out of their own minds and then believe them to be true.” by Siddhartha Gautama (United). The quote means that society creates the barrier of indifference between male and female even though it is a made up opinion, but in reality there is no indifference between the two other then sex organs and physical features. I agree with our women that they deserve more equality when it comes to job pay and many other important areas I will cover in this essay. Even though federal and state laws require workers to receive equal pay for performing similar work regardless of gender, race, age, ethnicity, disability or religion, the problem still persists in many industries (Top). The one group who has been neglected for centuries in many different areas of life is Woman. Where they are Black, White, or even Hispanic they have been looked down upon in the workplace, Politics, Education, Sports, and even have been made citizen for their driving!
