Nearly 20 women are abused every minute in the US says Ncadv.org. Abuse is a problem and the fact that it's an awkward topic for society to talk about is adding to the problem. Abuse isn't just physical it can be mental and emotional too. Women, moms, kids stuck in abusive relationships that they don't have to stay in. Abuse comes with a lot more than just bruises and hurt feeling not only does this person now have major trauma but the emotional scars that are left to cause mental problems. This needs to stop, the numbers of abuse victims is just to high.

I'm sorry but it's a fact, four thousand women die each year from male abuse compared to 1500 men who died from women abuse. In an article written by Dr.Jekyll who studies why men are more abusive than women states that in a man's head he goes through three stages in an abuse cycle. "Phase 1: Tension building (In this phase there is usually tension building from the batterer/abuser and there is usually an argument) - Phase 2: Explosion (this is where the assault happens) - Phase 3: Honeymoon Phase (this is where the batterer/abuser apologizes for his behavior buying the victim gifts or flowers) " Even after stage 3 it's not done, soon enough stage one starts again. The thought process of a man is different in situations like this. They very quickly learn how to break a women down, become very manipulative, and become controlling.
