Wolfgang Mozart was born on January 27th, 1756 and died in 1791. By the time he hit age 6 he could do almost everything including: playing the harpsichord/violin, improvise figures, write minuets, and read music perfectly. By the age of 8, he wrote a symphony. At the age 11, he wrote an oratorio; at 12, he did his first opera (Kamien, 210). Mozart quickly established himself as the finest keyboard player in Vienna, and steadily built his reputation as a composer. After encountering many obstacles to finding another operatic opportunities, he teamed for the first time in 1785–86. He got with the Italian librettist Lorenzo da Ponte, a happy collaboration that resulted in Le nozze di Figaro. This partnership, which finally produced Don Giovanni and Cosi fan …show more content…
His success led to an opera company in Prague to commission Don Giovanni, who was a triumph in Prague. He was delighted to receive a commission from a Viennese theater for a German opera. Two months before he died, The Magic Flute was premiered to resounding praise in Vienna (Kamien, 212). The quality of Mozart’s music is surely at the heart of its timeless and universal appeal. It gives voice to something at once deeply human and impossible sublime. In addition to the staggering genius evident in each measure of his work, Mozart’s taste and his most profound knowledge of composition is remarkable (Castillo, 2017). One of Wolfgang’s most popular works of music was the “Symphony No. 40, 1st Movement "Allegro” and this was Mozart's most famous symphony. The first movement in particular is extremely well known and is one of the most famous movements he created. This is probably the second most well-known piece of music Mozart wrote, especially with today’s listeners (Matthew, 2017). In his overture, he begin with amazing D minor chords, exotic syncopations, and sinister scale passages. It then continues with fast sonata-form movement in D

It is fascinating to see this story of Mozart through the eyes of someone else. While there is a great deal of the movie that is made up and based on false rumors, it is still very interesting. Even though it was part of the story that wasn’t true, I found myself feeling really sorry for Mozart at the end of the movie. I thought it was really sad to see him when he was sick, and then to have Salieri there with him, knowing that Salieri wanted him to die so he could finally get some recognition. It seemed that Mozart did care about his opinion and that Mozart thought he was his friend when he really wasn’t.…

Even though Mozart himself, who was only 32 years old at the time and had every reason to expect to live to see the dawn of the 19th century, certainly did not expect this to be the last symphony he ever composed, Symphony No. 41 could not have been a more perfect and appropriate summation and culmination of Mozart’s genius. This is an opinion shared by many scholars. One important reason for this argument is Mozart’s juxtaposition and integration of Learned and Galant style in the finale of Symphony No. 41, which is a movement in allegro sonata form, a characteristic typically associated with the Galant style, that also contains fugues, canons, and imitations, which are characteristics of learned style. The fugal finale, giving this piece…
