Wizard Of Oz Critique

Presented by Jackson High and Hollywood “The Wizard of Oz” is a story that followed Dorothy and her adventures in Oz as she searches for a way back home. Along the way she meets several people who are looking for a solution for their problems as well. They run into obstacles along the way but with the help of Glinda, the good witch she manages to leave Oz and return to Kansas. The musical was filled with amazing props and effect, which improved the overall show.
When Dorothy lands in Kansas she meets Glinda, the good witch, and the munchkins. The bright lights, vibrant costumes, and cheerful singing created a jubilant atmosphere. The fictional character Glinda almost seemed real as the actor imitated her graceful walking, accent, and merry aura. The songs, which were sung in this scene, emanated the same cheery aura, which made the scene pleasing to watch and the most entertaining of all. …show more content…
The actors carried out the role as the flying monkeys well. And using a projector backdrop they made the scene seem more believable. The costume, cast, and special created an intriguing scene.
The show was amusing and the actors delivered their lines well. The show would surely be appealing to those who are ten and older. Younger children may be startled by the scary scenes and special affects, which included fire. “The Wizard of Oz” may also attract those who enjoy musicals or adventures as they fall into both categories. This would be a great choice for parents who are looking for to entertain their child’s
