During my witness interview I used the intellectual method. I was passing Union Station one sunny day and I saw a person who I normally see at the North East Library. After seeing her a few times at the Library the Lord laid it on my heart to purchase her a gift. I purchased the gift and I brought it to the library the next couple of days. I went to her and I shared with her the Lord laid on my heart to bless her with a gift. I presented the gift to her, excited and really liked the gift. This also was an opportunity to witness to her. I asked her if she attended church nearby and she said she goes to a church in the area. She said her mother raised her in a Catholic Church. I didn’t go into details about her religion. I have learned sometimes although a person comes from a different religious belief, that we who have a …show more content…
It is a saying, the best testimony or witness is our life style. Speaking to her she didn’t have too many questions, concerning Jesus Christ after asking her if she had a church in the area. I have learned sometimes although a person comes from a different religious back ground we who have experienced and have true knowledge of who Jesus Christ have to allow persons to learn who Jesus, is through experience. Even when we witness they may not have questions or concerns at that time because they only know or have had little or no experience with Jesus Christ. Sometimes a person, may not be won right away, because of the plan God, has for their life. I believe after witnessing we have to extend the receiving of the holy spirit, because the holy

He encourages the congregation to rise up to God’s challenge, and draw nearer to him than ever before (Brooks 2001, 101). This seems to comfort some, including Anna, because instead of telling the people they are doomed by their sin, he inspired hope, preaching that God will make them even stronger after persevering through this trial…

How reliable is eyewitness testimony Eyewitness testimony is a term used in the legal system to give an account of a criminal incident that has occurred. Mistaken eyewitness identification is responsible for many wrongful convictions. Eyewitness testimony has influenced jury decisions and served as compelling evidence. Eyewitness testimonies are influential pieces of evidence used in the criminal justice system. According to a study in which participants simulated a robbery, intoxicated individuals reported more incorrect details than those that were sober (Read, Yuille, & Tollestrup, 1992). Intoxicated participants also recalled less accurate information than sober participants in another study in which they observed a staged theft (Yuille & Tollestrup, 1990). However, both their anticipation for the event and the study designs could have affected the results. Moreover, not much is known about the vulnerability of intoxicated witnesses to misinformation during post-event interviews.…

Christianity Through the Eyes of a Jehovah’s Witness At the Human Library, I talked to Kristen, a Jehovah’s Witness, since I wanted to learn more about their religion. It was Kristen’s second time to the Lone Star College-Kingwood’s Human Library event. She was very knowledgeable about her religion and answered all of the questions I had afterwards. She cited multiple passages in The Bible such as Revelations 22, Revelations 20, and 2 Timothy 3, and I found there was virtually nothing I knew about their religion.…

I am a non-practicing religious, more spiritual, person. I decided for my service learning project to interview someone who is practicing from the same religious background that I came from. Even though I grew up taught religion by my Catholic mother, I was never truly practicing. Even with this I found many similarities to a practicing Christian. I chose to interview because I was curious about how my non-practicing views meshed with someone from the same religion who is much more read in it.…

This interview took place in Dean Vargas’ office. As a first year advisor in the school of engineering, she has been busy in the past month assisting first year students in picking which type of engineering they are most interested in and helping them to plan their schedules for the upcoming year. This meant that she did not have the time to meet somewhere else. If this were not a factor, I would have suggested meeting in a cafe as that would have caused Dean Vargas to view me less as one of her many students and more as an individual woman, coming to her for assistance in navigating the unique set of circumstance women engineers need to navigate. I believe that as a result of holding the meeting in her office and not in a secondary location,…

In my opinion, Salvation is not necessarily about having a daily revival. Honestly, it is what you do afterwards that matters a lot. Yes, when someone gets saved, it is always a great moment full of applause and cheering but it should not be a thing to where people feel pressured. I think that the Aunt may have gone a little overboard with begging her nephew to receive Jesus. Another thing I feel that is different is what you experience during that time.…

Does being a Jehovah Witness make you a better person? This religion is usually ignored by people of other faiths since other people seemed to not care about other religions except their own. Thinking about it now, those people do not know about them because of this since they went off on rumors. None of these people have gone out of their way to get to know one of them and that is a problem. Jehovah Witness might be the nicest people you will ever meet if you get to know one and the best way to know about them is to ask one.…

The Kingdom Hall building was much smaller than ordinary churches. The Kingdom Hall is a religious building where Jehovah’s witnesses hold their religious services. The building can be rented, held in a gymnasium, an auditorium, or a constructed building that serve as the purpose of a kingdom hall. Once inside of the Kingdom Hall, I noticed that they did not have in crosses that was displayed, unlike churches. The Kingdom Hall has a library, an area providing religious literature, and for the audience, they have chairs.…
