Within My Immediate Family Communication Case Study Of Beebe's

Decent Essays
Within my immediate family the communication climate is mixed. With my father the communication feels to align more with defensiveness in Beebe’s explanation. I think the main reason behind this is because of my father’s inability to access his emotions clearly. With my expanding knowledge I feel my pursuit of a college degree messes with my father’s ego. He hadn’t obtained a degree, because in his time they didn’t need to. My father is very intelligent, but he is the only one in his family to not at least pursue a bachelor’s degree. I feel this makes him feel some way that makes him lash out to try and undermine the person or people that made him feel that way. This is just speculation on why I feel my father communicates with defensiveness
