1. Relationships are changing faster each year with increasing amounts of social media use. It becomes difficult to test the psychology of relationships. There is no certain formula that can get someone to like them. However, there are tips and tricks that can be used to increase one’s chances. Witchurch’s study tries to test one of those tips that can help someone into a relationship. The basic question addressed is whether the participants are more likely to like the person who showed more interest on them or the person who showed less interest on them or the person who shows average interest in them. In this study, they had the four males rate some of the female participants based on their Facebook profiles and rated them accordingly to whether they found them attractive or likeable. Then the women were now told which man rated them the best, which ones rated them average and which ones rated them uncertain. The first surveys asked how the women felt after each man gave her a rating of how much they liked her. After that they had the participants do some filler activities and then the researcher asked the participants questions like: how much do you want to work with them, how much similar you are to the man, how likely will it be for the female to hook up with the man and how willing the female is to making the man her partner. After that they performed more filler activities. Then they were asked on how they felt again just as they did at the beginning, such as did I the man’s response make them feel happy, neutral or sad. At the end the participants were asked how many times each man showed up in their head. The researchers measured the study by having points for each survey and seeing how much points each man
