While Lucy went in the wardrobe it feeling on touching coats and snow falling down the smell of coats to the cold air, hear the quietness out in the forest. In The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe they have a lot in common and differences with the book and the movie. I prefer the book version of The Lion,The Witch,The Wardrobe because there is a lot of detail that is in the book but not the movies.

In the movie and book The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe have a lot in common, First of all, they both are stories in a wonderland place with a bad witch. In addition, they try to save Mr. Tumnus. Also in both the book and the movie no one believes Lucy about Narnia. Similarly, Edmund lets Lucy be the leader because she knows Narnie more than him.

C.S. Lewis was an Irish writer. Born in Belfast in 1898, and living in County Down until the age of nine, as a young child, Lewis probably heard many of the old Irish Legends and mythological stories that most Irish children would learn, even to this day. This essay seeks to find evidence of the influence these stories had on Lewis’s work in later life, especially in ‘The Chronicles of ‘Narnia’. It focuses mainly on ‘The Magician’s Nephew’ and ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’. It examines the similarities between Queen Jadis in ‘The Magician’s Nephew’ and the legendary Queen Medbh of Connacht, compares Tír na nÓg with the land of Narnia in ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’, analyses the influences of other Irish mythology on these…

Despite all of this, here is some debate about C.S. Lewis’s view of Narnia. James Russell claims that Narnia is Lewis’s version of an idyllic Christian nation (62). On the other hand, Michael Nelson claims that it is more than just a wishful thought and that it is Lewis’s version of heaven (236). C.S. Lewis masterfully tells a fictional children’s story while weaving in elements of his faith. Aslan’s divinity, sacrifice, and resurrection are clear similarities between him and Jesus Christ.…

Like many other movies derived from books, there are numerous differences. The book has many people who aren't named in the movie, and the movie shows scenes that the book does not. The book described the Abramowiczs as a fairly poor family in a small shtetl, but in the movie it shows a wealthy family in a big village. There are also many similarities between the book and the movie. Both the book and movie contain the same main ideas in the plot, and have more or less the same storyline.…

Time and time again people come to the common question of, “Movies vs. books?” Many movies follow their books word for word whether its character development or plot development, whereas other movies change and twist the book’s stories in unimaginable ways, yet people are still faced with the question, “Movies or books?” An example of how books and movies can differ is in the story “The Outsiders” written by S. E. Hinton and produced by Francis Coppola. Although there are many similarities that both the book, The Outsiders, and the movie share, there were many noticeable differences in the appearance and personalities of all the characters. Three of the main characters, Pony, Johnny and Soda, will be reviewed in particular.…

Each had their pros and cons, such as with the book you could imagine the people's faces and voices and facial expressions, whereas you could not in the movie. However, the film did portray the elements better all in all. For example, the movie made the confusion in the forest much more clear than in the story. While one could imagine the people chasing after one another and getting lost, it was much easier to actually see them getting lost and the actor's expressions of confusion and anger to show them being lost. Also, the film seemed to extend certain arguments.…

In “The Landlady”, Billy Weaver is lured into a seemingly normal bed and breakfast by an old lady who, despite her gentle and unthreatening appearance, wants to kill him. It is a story about how those with cruel intent may take advantage of those who are innocent and naive. Although the book and the movie can be arguably similar if generalized, there are many differences that may change the way a reader/viewer may grasp the concept of the story. Since a movie and book cannot be exactly the same, the film version is bound to have things that differ from the text. One example of how the book develops the development of the story is with the setting.…

The characters were in my head as they were in the movie and the landscape was what the movie showed me. There was no way for me to separate the two. They were bounded together in one cohesive story that would forever be together. In a way, it is the fault of Andrew Adamsson for causing this corruption to take place. He was the one who stepped up as this dictator of my imagination and instead of letting my independent brain take over he weaseled his own views into my head and put himself as the ruler of Narnia.…
