The witch trials in 1692 were among the darkest experiences in U.S History. Forming in Salem Massachusetts, these witch trials were a perfect example of revenge. In Arthur Miller’s play, “The Crucible”, it all begins with a simple accusation about the girls dancing the the forest. The arising suspicion of witchcraft allowed the town's people to express their hatred toward others and led many to seek revenge against society, enemies and also neighbors. From there on out, rumors and lies are spread throughout the town. Chaos erupts, and everything goes downhill from there.
