The University of Wisconsin-Madison is my top choice school for many reasons, one being the sophisticated engineering program that is offered. Not only is UW Madison’s College of Engineering among the top engineering programs offered in the nation, it also offers many research opportunities. The University of Wisconsin-Madison is renowned for its wide range of research opportunities and its focus on research, which reflects the mission statement of the UW Madison College of Engineering, which involves using research and innovative teaching to educate its students to become individuals that benefit the people of the world in both the present and future. The University of Wisconsin-Madison has over 900 student organizations available, making it easy for students to find and choose an organization and be involved. There are many organizations that I am interested in joining at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, one being the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, because it correlates with my intended major, so this organization could help me thrive in that major. Another organization would be the Chinese Language and Culture Club (CLACC), because I have always loved Chinese culture as well as its language, having grown up in China from 2 months old to 5 years old. Joining this club would allow me to discuss the Chinese culture I had experienced with others and learn more about this fascinating culture. I feel that I would be able to bring more cultural diversity to the University of Wisconsin-Madison through clubs such as this because I had grown up in China, so sharing my experience of growing up there would definitely provide students there some insight into this culture that might be unknown to
