To accurately depict the overarching qualities of Northwestern which I find most intriguing, it is easiest to provide a line from the university’s president, Morton Shapiro, on why the university stands out from their competitors. While emphasizing the school’s motivated approach to maximizing attention toward undergraduate students, Shapiro professed that the school’s “focus on undergrads without losing the identity as a great research institute” is a quality that sets Northwestern apart. This ideal, which is a crucial part of Northwestern’s identity, makes it all the more captivating. In the majority of colleges I have researched during my prodigious quest for the perfect university, I found that their “commitment to every student” was…

The city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin was selected as an area for exploration for its relevance to the topic in both modern and historical contexts. When viewed on demographic and social levels, Milwaukee offers an interesting precedent for race in America. While the city is consistently listed as one of the most diverse cities in America, it is also one of the most deeply segregated. , Maps created from census data showcase the distinct divides between races within the city, where entire enclaves are separated by mere streets. Between 1960 and 1969, there were over 10 separate documented marches, demonstrations, and boycotts in the city of Milwaukee, each of which called for legal action to create equal opportunities for black citizens.…

It is a bit surreal to think that I will be a senior at Endicott College in the fall. It feels as if just yesterday that I was 17-years-old, applying to colleges and hoping that once I secured a face-to-face interview, that I would be able to explain why my grades suffered my freshman year of high school. I was hoping that once in an interview that a reputable college would take a chance on me, to take into consideration the bullying I endured, for me to showcase my academic abilities. Endicott was that school. In 2013, I graduated Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School and never looked back.…

My favorite part is that they have community classrooms which are inclusive classrooms with children that are typically developing and children with special needs. Once I graduate, I want to work in an inclusive classroom, and I love how almost all of the classrooms are inclusive. I am biased since I have worked with them before and I know the quality of instruction they have, but I would love to send my children here. The staff is very friendly, and the school is not only focused on their academics, but also their development. I also like that all of the students from ages 3-5 are beginning academic instruction, but I also like that the children are social skills.…

Honesty, to me, is one of the most important attributes of a person, so I will begin with two very honest statements. The first being, I composed this essay and it reflects my ideas as expressed in my own words and thus reflects my writing ability. The second truth is as follows: for most of my life, pharmacy was not the career I thought I would find my passion in or that SDSU was where I would find a second home. From middle school through most of high school I was set on attending the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities and becoming a gopher.…
