Anthrop Social Work Excellence Matters Analysis

“Winthrop Social Work: Excellence Matters” Community Assessment Phase II Recently, I attended a cultural event that was being offered to students and faculty attending at Winthrop University. This cultural event was called “Winthrop Social Work: Excellence Matters Community Assessment Phase II”. This event focused on social work and the needs of York County’s community. While working with United Way, the International Center of York County and residents of York County the speakers, Dr. Duane Neff and Dr. Monique Constance-Huggins thoroughly presented their main point of the event using information they collected along the way to clearly and sufficiently express the results of their findings which in turn brought answers and forth changes …show more content…
Duane Neff and Dr. Monique Constance-Huggins thoroughly presented their main point of the event using information they collected along the way to clearly and sufficiently express the results of their findings which in turn brought answers and forth changes that can be made in the community. After analyzing this cultural event done by both Dr. Neff and Dr. Constance-Huggins it is clear that they portrayed the main points to the audience in a way that captured them and informed them. The audience was given statistical information that put them in the lives of all who filled out the surveys. Females, males, the unemployed, the poor, the sick, those of Spanish decent who took the surveys were finally able to speak out. They were able to voice their problems and voice what they felt was going wrong in their community. This was a step in the right direction and now changes can be made. Due to excellent presentation along with the help of the United Way of York County , the International Center of York County, and York County residents more people know about the problems that are in the county and help can hopefully be
