In this poem, the author is trying to get you to forget about how winter is after thanksgiving. He wants you to appreciate the beauty of nature and what it can bring, the good and the bad. Winter is a season that some of us do not like but some of us see winter, spring, summer, and fall as if it just pure beauty. The author wants you to understand that some of the seasons are not that great but they are a way of nature. I take this poem as if he is trying to show that the world can be a very beautiful place and it shows all of the good flaws. This poem affected me personally, not only did it show that the world can be a beautiful place but it also showed that we cannot take the seasons for granted.
